The goal of Campus Crime Stoppers is 100% safe schools.  This involves more than just taking anonymous tips.  Kids today are faced with a lot of dangers, dating violence, internet predators, bullying, drugs, underage drinkingand more.  We strive to give students access to people and services that can make them safe from all kinds of threats.

What is Campus Crime Stoppers?

Campus Crime Stoppers is a unique program to get students involved in keeping their school safe.  It’s a joint effort between Capital Area Crime Stoppers, local law enforcement, and the community to keep the threat of violence, illegal drugs, and weapons and other dangerous activity off our school campuses.

How does the program work?

It’s easy.  If at any time you have information on a crime or you know someone who as a weapon or illegal drugs or is threatening someone else while at school, just call the Campus Crime Stoppers tips hotline number at 499-8477 (TIPS)

Do I have to give my name?

No!  Your call is completely confidential.  Crime Stoppers will not ask for your name.  When you call, you are given a code number or word.  This word or number is for you only and should not be given to anyone else.  No one will know you called the tips number unless you tell them.  If your tip leads to an arrest or recovery of weapons or illegal drugs you could be eligible for up to a $500 reward!

But better than that, you can help keep your classmates, friends, teachers and school safe and crime-free.

How do I join Campus Crime Stoppers?

Membership is easy – and it’s free!  Just keep the tips hotline number with you and call if you have any information.
